Hi!

This error occours only on my Hardwareplattform when I have the Parallel-Port
disabled in the BIOS and when I use the 32-bit Alpha-3 Version of OpenSuSE 11.0
on a 64-bit AMD. If I ENABLE the Parallel-Port the Installation runs to its end
without the OOps occouring.

Whe you do a graphical installation the machine hangup stop while checking for
the Harddisk-Controllers.

I did several physical installation runs, no one in an VM-environment. 

The workaround with hwprobe=... is no solution for the Golden Master Relase.
