https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=371343 Summary: sax2 creates no xorg.conf Product: openSUSE 11.0 Version: Alpha 2 Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: SaX2 AssignedTo: ms@novell.com ReportedBy: volker3204@paradise.net.nz QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Having to recover from experiments with the xorg.conf driver, I want to start from scratch. xorg.conf{,.md5} are deleted. sax2 -r starts up, I click on "change settings" (there is always something wrong). The keyboard is set to a Microsoft natural something pro for Afghanistan. I change that to generic 104 key USA layout to match what is actually connected. I change the monitor mode from 1024x768@60 to @75. Clicking ok, then "save" causes sax2 to exit but does not create a new xorg.conf, there is still no such file now. Clicking ok, then "test" (the modelines are always slightly wrong for me) just causes sax2 to exit without doing anything else. All effort to create a xorg.xonf is wasted so far. Hardware is a PII-450 with i740 graphics card and 17" *very* old monitor. Hardware works under oS 10.3. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
