https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=369335 Summary: Date & Time module reads package manager Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Final Platform: i686 OS/Version: openSUSE 10.3 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: YaST2 AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: rhowell@novell.com QAContact: jsrain@novell.com Found By: --- When you want to adjust the time/date settings in Yast, it reads the entire rpm database and the zypper database and takes a really long time to load. Steps to reproduce: - Open Yast2, and select the Date & Time module - Click on "Change..."to adjust the time - Expected results: - next window should pop up and I should be able to change the time Actual result: - progess bars of scanning the RPM database and the zypper repos. - How often does this happen? Always. Is there a reason that the Date & Time module needs to scan the rpm, zypper databases first? This doesn't seem logical. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
