SuSE-9.3, 10.0, 10.1, 10.2 and 10.3 never had a problem with the kernel during
the nominal install. BUT reading comment#9, made realize I should have tried
the "No ACPI" install.

My apologies, even though I've never had to do this No ACPI on this PC, I am
well aware of this Installation option, and I should have tried that.

So I tried the "NO ACPI" Install and the partition table showed up OK. I did
not proceed to do the install, but it appears to be functioning.

I'll try a full install later (possibly this weekend).

Hence I think that openSUSE-11.0 alpha2 appears to be functioning with the "No
ACPI" installation selection, and that takes this off the "CRITICAL" Severity,
and possibly is even enough to close this?

I propose to put the resolution as "FIXED" by that work around? (and I've
labeled the status accordingly). I hope my changing the status is OK (if it
accepts my change).
