BTW: Seife told me to use -m instead of -s
that would be: "s2ram -f -p -m"
It seems to be a bit faster:
-s, --vbe_save: save VBE state before suspending and restore after resume.
-m, --vbe_mode: get VBE mode before suspend and set it after resume
(from: http://en.opensuse.org/S2ram)
The one stores the whole state, the other only the mode?
Works fine here.
Hmm, I wonder whether the PS2 keyboard broke away on my tests because I used
no_console_suspend which might have influence the SuperIO chip where serial,
ps2 and others are connected to. I cannot test it right now, just for info.
We really need to figure out how to wake up graphics without whitelisting...
If it really needs bigger in-kernel graphics access support, I wonder whether
this could be achieved for SLES11?
It hurts so much, that most machines would just work, but like that none is
working out of the box, everything needs whitelisting...
