I just hit a similar problem today (on x86-64 for that matter.) There was a
security update for compat-openssl097g. I had compat-openssl097g-0.9.7g-33
installed, the update bumped it to compat-openssl097g-0.9.7g-35 as expected,
AND it also installed compat-openssl097g-32bit-0.9.7g-35, while
compat-openssl097g was NOT installed beforehand.
