https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=365846 Summary: vpnc version in 10.3 is too old and has a bug Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Network AssignedTo: lmuelle@novell.com ReportedBy: marcio.ferreira@gmail.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- Hi, I've needed to use vpnc in 10.3 and I see its only version 0.3.3. The current version in http://www.unix-ag.uni-kl.de/~massar/vpnc/ is 0.5.1. This is a problem, because in 10.3 there is a bug which prevents the vpnc to work: In /usr/share/vpnc/vpnc-script you need to replace line 75 by the corrected version: * original (wrong): sed 's/cache//;s/metric[0-9]\+ [0-9]\+//g' * new regexp (correct): sed 's/cache//;s/metric[0-9]\+ [0-9]\+//g;s/hoplimit[ 0-9]\+//g' If you dont do that you get a "Error: either "to" is duplicate or "hoplimit" is garbage" error message and failure to connect. Seems it has something to do with iproute syntax changing. I would suggest putting that fix in 10.3 YOU maybe, if possible. Or the whole new package maybe, as I see factory has 0.5.1. Assigned to lmuelle@suse.de as its the last one in the factory changelog TIA -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
