What is your hardware?
Computer:
32-bit i386 compatible or 64-bit AMD or something else?
Printer:
Exact manufacturer and model name!
Just "afficio" is totally meanigless.
How is the printer set up?
DeviceURI?
Driver/PPD file?
CUPS config?
Describe more specific what exactly the "last update" was.
I.e. which excat packages were updated?
e.g. openSUSE build service or third-party repositories
like packman or something else?
Attach CUPS debugging info as follows
1: Set "LogLevel debug" in /etc/cups/cupsd.conf
2: Stop cupsd.
3: Move /var/log/cups/error_log to another location (or delete it)
in order to avoid having to search through gigantic log files.
4: Start cupsd.
5: Print only one small job only to your remote printer using
echo "Hello" | lp -d <queue-name>
6: Wait one minute
7: cp /var/log/cups/error_log /tmp/error_log
8: Attach /tmp/error_log as mime-type "text/plain" to this bug.
Attach your PPD file /etc/cups/ppd/<queue-name>.ppd
as MIME type "text/plain" for the queue for your remote printer.
Attach your /etc/cups/cupsd.conf file as MIME type "text/plain".
Check that there are no secrets in there (e.g. LDAP password).
Usually (i.e. by default) there are no secrets in cupsd.conf.

From which package repositories did you download them?Do you have any non-default package repositories defined,
e.g. openSUSE build service or third-party repositories
like packman or something else?
