I have a pretty trivial and common network setup (DSL router connected to the
computer by ethernet, without NetworkManager, without proxy).
The ~/.kde4 should not be the problem, as I try out fresh user accounts from
time to time.
Situation:
Windows + Firefox, IE = no problems
Linux + Konqueror3, Firefox (both in KDE3 and KDE4 session) = no problems
Linux + Konqueror4 = does not work!
Giving it another try right now, it looks like simple pages like Google can be
displayed - even if it takes much to long. A few other pages will be displayed
partially after taking quite some time to load. (The rendering in most cases is
rudimentary.) And for most of the pages in my bookmarks, the result is "unknown
error".
Some pages work partially one time, only to give an error the next time, and
the other way round.
Common denominator is that everything, even the errors, takes much too long to
appear.
