This is not an "old" graphics card, it is Intel's GMA 3100 current high end
part.

Note that this monitor uses the DVI connection.
As I stated when opening the bug, using VESA mode gets around the issue and
there is no problem once installed.
I would argue that we should default to VESA mode if you cannot correct this
during the install, because what happens today (blank screen during an install)
does not happen with Fedora Core 7 on the same box and that just makes opensuse
look bad.
