I did an biosupdate late last year.
Now I'm at 2406

The board does not find the primary SATA on the ICH7, if I rebbot too fast.
The problem is gone with the latest kernel!!!

May be an update to 2602 will help.
It is dated 2008/01/28


This "funny" bugs seems to be related to the usage of the ports of this board.
There are:
1st: pata (max 2 Disks)
NO 2nd: pata (no connectors build, but basic HW in bridge)
3rd: SATA primary + secondary
4th: SATA no connector for primary, but a connector for secondary 
=== These are not bootable:
5th: PATA on jmicron
6th: STAT on jmicron

Silicon Image RAID
7th+8th: 2 SATA and:

Support RAID 10 cross Intel® ICH7R and Silicon Image 4723 controller
