There's

# Center dialogs on owner window
CenterTransientsOnOwner=1 # 0/1

but it should be 1 by default and place _dialogs_ in the center. Last time I
checked (after alpha1 but before alpha2) both fvwm2 and icewm placed the popups
to top left, because they weren't modal (so you could click the main window and
the popup would hide). I'll check nevertheless.
