https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=359416 Summary: svnserve could create its user/group in postinst script Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Enhancement Priority: P5 - None Component: Other AssignedTo: olh@novell.com ReportedBy: marcio.ferreira@gmail.com QAContact: qa@suse.de CC: crrodriguez@novell.com Found By: --- If you try to start svnserve for the first time you see this failure notice: # rcsvnserve start Starting svnserve startproc: No such user or user id: svn failed Reading the docs at /usr/share/doc/packages/subversion/README.SuSE it recommends that you manually create a svn group and user, so it can be started. Wouldnt that process be automated in the postinst rpm script? Unless there is a reason for it to not be in there. If there is not, I would ask for the inclusion in such script, so it starts gracefully. regards Marcio -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
