[Bug 359186] New: Wrong fonts when displaying license
- From: bugzilla_noreply@xxxxxxxxxx
- Date: Wed, 6 Feb 2008 06:13:24 -0700 (MST)
- Message-id: <bug-359186-21960@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx/>
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=359186
Summary: Wrong fonts when displaying license
Product: openSUSE 11.0
Version: Alpha 2
Platform: Other
OS/Version: Other
Status: NEW
Severity: Normal
Priority: P5 - None
Component: Installation
AssignedTo: mfabian@xxxxxxxxxx
ReportedBy: locilka@xxxxxxxxxx
QAContact: jsrain@xxxxxxxxxx
CC: coolo@xxxxxxxxxx
Found By: ---
I've booted to the installation with English pre-selected and clicked on the
[Show in Full-Screen...] button to see all license translations. In Chinese or
Japanese translation some characters are bigger then the others. Those bigger
ones seem to repeat - what I considered as a thesis about 'wrong font' :)
On the other hand, this might be Qt problem and also that the needed fonts
haven't been loaded. Anyway, I'm rather reporting the issue :)
PS: A new functionality has been added to the Installation/Linuxrc: Linuxrc has
been split into several squashfs images, running inst-sys is made by joining
them on-the-fly. Installation has a new functionality that allows YaST to
download and merge these inst-sys extensions. So, if loading fonts on-the-fly
is requested, we could provide that. On the other hand, I'm not sure whether Qt
wouldn't need to be restarted to use those fonts...
Screen~shots will follow.
