Summary: NetworkManager unusable
Product: openSUSE 11.0
Version: unspecified
Platform: Other
OS/Version: Other
Status: NEW
Severity: Blocker
Priority: P5 - None
Component: Network
AssignedTo: bnc-team-screening@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

NetworkManager itself (because same behaviour with KDE and Gnome client) seems
to be broken atm.

It does launch dhclient for LAN and even gets an IP, but never shows this in
the GUI.

I was not able to add a Wireless network in gnome client

knetworkmanager does hang when I try to click on the Applet to add a wireless
network.

VPN module does not even compile atm.

We should IMHO revert Networkmanager changes in Factory for now to keep it
working.

Yes, manual setup of wireless networks via command line works.
