Don't worry, I didn't do rcalsasound restart before copying the codec files.
That was just a test to see if it would do any difference...
And you are right the error is irrelevant with the model option change !

As I wrote, after you change the model option, don't do "rcalsasound restart"
but just reboot. Some model options override the BIOS setting, and you cannot
restore it. Thus, without rebooting, the results are useless, unfortunately.
(And, the error above is irrelevant with the model option change...)
