I get the error message "Required X extension (XComposite and XDamage) are not
available." in my system settings for KDE 4.0.

I assume that that these extensions are supported by the current driver
software "NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-169.09-pkg2.run".
How will I be able to adjust the desktop effects?
