I am using a GeForce 7800 GT that was driven by
"NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-169.07-pkg2.run".
I was notified for a recommended X server patch by the YaST online update after
my test. I applied it and the current software
"NVIDIA-Linux-x86_64-169.09-pkg2.run".
Now it seems that I can not reproduce the reported issue any more.

compositing?
