Product: openSUSE 10.3
Version: Final
Platform: x86-64
OS/Version: openSUSE 10.3
Status: NEW
Severity: Normal
Priority: P5 - None
Component: Network

Hi,
I was having problems with the ipw3945 wireless driver, so I switched to the
iwl3945 driver.
While this driver does connect to my open, hidden and non hidden networks, (the
ipw3945 driver had problems with open, hidden networks) it causes packet loss.
Typically it runs around 16-18%. I have tried this on two different wireless
networks with no difference. I tried the hardware under a different OS, and no
packet loss. Seems to be pointing to an iwl3945 issue to me.
I have the following iwl RPMs installed.
iwl3945-ucode-2.14.1.5-13
iwlwifi-kmp-default-1.2.0_2.6.22.13_0.3-0.1
and running kernel version
2.6.22.13-0.3-default
Log files to follow.
