There are a couple of open issues in the application of switching between
different desktop sessions. The design details that will need some improvements
are already described in documents like the following.

I would like to point out a few things where I am affected.
1. An identification can be chosen by the tool "fast-user-switch-applet 2.20.0"
(http://ignore-your.tv/fusa/) in GNOME. But it is not transferred and reused in
the GDM login manager. The user name must be entered again.

2. It seems that I can not open another session for the same user.

3. I am missing the menu entry/button "Switch User" in KDE 3.5.7 on my system.
This should be supported by the KDM login manager.

4. I am curious when this feature will work with KDE 4 (Bug #355085).
