The problem was the device permissions: bmccann@chameleon-htpc:~/Documents> ls -l /dev/sr0 brw-rw----+ 1 root disk 11, 0 2007-12-30 15:38 /dev/sr0 ^ ACL!
1. use getfacl /dev/sr0 to see who actually has access to the device 2. run "resmgr dump" as root to see who is recorded as beeing logged in and therefore should have access. 3. run "hal-resmgr --list-all" to list the devices that should have ACLs on them according to 2. 4. remove yourself from group disk and remove any extra udev rules. None of this is necessary under normal circumstances. Do you by chance have a rather fast machine and use autologin? There could still be some race conditions in the boot script. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
