https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=352140 Summary: Redirecting xm list -l output adds junk to the output Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Final Platform: i386 OS/Version: openSUSE 10.3 Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Xen AssignedTo: cgriffin@novell.com ReportedBy: aschneider@novell.com QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- PROBLEM: Redirecting xm list -l output adds extra characters to the first line of the file. Trying to re-import this with xm new -f <file> results in python errors. I'm not sure if this is a xen or a bash issue. I can redirect output from elsewhere and don't see this problem. STEPS TO DUPLICATE: With a running xen kernel, run the following command: # xm list -l (domain (domid 0) (on_crash restart) ** Note, I only included the first 3 lines*** The output appears normal. Now try to do the same thing and either pipe it to less or redirect to a file: xm list -l > file xm list -l | less I then vi or less the file and I get: ^[[?1034h(domain (domid 0) (on_crash restart) Here are the versions of bash and xen bash-3.2-61xen-libs-3.1.0_15042-51 xen-tools-ioemu-3.1.0_15042-51 xen-doc-pdf-3.1.0_15042-51 xen-3.1.0_15042-51 xen-tools-3.1.0_15042-51 kernel-xen-2.6.22.13-0.3 xen-doc-html-3.1.0_15042-51 -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
