Yes I set the path to this library in the preferences screen of acroread.
i.e. /usr/lib/xulrunner-1.8.1.4

- Restarted acroread.
- If is did directly click on a .pdf file it opened ok.
- Still got the 'blank screen' like in Comment #11 if I opened acroread with no
pdf. 
- I get the same as you a blank pages only for the help pages.
