Additional information...

The same copy from DVD on the reported X_64 system was duplicated on an
I386-32 P4 - HT 3.2 2 GIG RAM however this PC had a CD/DVD Read Only capability
and constant is the source was always DVD already burned - R/W Media.

The copy process consumed minimal resources, other application selection and
execution was possible - copy process to at least 60% LESS time.

Therefore
1. Is the X64 architecture the differing component to this bug
AND/OR
2. The Device was A Read only device against the bug reported CD/DVD/
Read/writer.

Suggest try to duplicate on an I386 system of your own
1. The first with a CD/DVD Read writer
Against
2. A CD/DVD read only device and media.

This will discount the bug confined to either
1. A CD/DVD read writer AND supporting media
2. A CD/DVD Read Only with Supporting media being the same Read/Write media.

IF there is NO issue in above we must then conclude the X64 Processor and
Application Konqueror.

Either Way it would be very wise if konqueror needed to be changed that we
change ALL copy process from either a CD/DVD to firstly read into RAM>Then
write to HDD/NFS and Verify to RAM but do this Dynamically - Once the file was
verified from RAM we read data at the same time back into the space in RAM that
can be flushed after right verify

Your Thoughts?

Regret I only have 1PC with I386_32 Architecture left with CD/DVD read only
system - ALL other systems are X64 with same CPU and RAM resources.

Scott
