Novell,
I am lowering the bug severity on our end from Block -> Normal as you are
pursuing an alternative solution other than JVM changes.
At the moment, the IBM Java folks will likely not have a solution for this in
support of OpenSUSE though they agree with the initial analysis but likely be
changed by SLES11. They did look at the source and determined that they are
indeed embedding a version of libXinerama in their code base. However, they are
concerned with just pulling it out as they need to ensure they have sufficient
platform coverage in their testing to avoid regressing someone.
In the event that you need this escalated with IBM Java team to get a JVM
change
sooner than that please advise. Otherwise, I would like to move this to closure
on our side since you are pursuing an alternative solution.
