About comment #32:
Windows would post the graphics while resuming from S3, so BIOS should not do
this any more, the BIOS engineers don't known how to do this either,they said
the windows drivers is confidential.
Sorry, how should this work? The Windows engineers know the hardware better
than the HW vendors?
Maybe there is some ACPI flag or as soon as the ACPI brightness functions are
there (a good indication for Vista BIOS support), the OS is posting the VGA
device in any case?

Henry: the M$ driver may be confidental, but they probably colaborated in some
way with the HW vendors, e.g. telling them, pls do not post the VGA device
anymore, our driver is doing it or whatever (not sure who really is in charge
here, I expect the BIOS developing company which should be the mainboard
vendor)...
If we could get some more information here (e.g. what is the trigger for OS to
post or not) that would be great.
