If you don't do it, bad things will happen. OpenSuSE has ~400 packages with icons. Adding call of SuSEconfig.gtk2 to the %post and %postun would increase installation time for ~1 hour, so it is unacceptable. And even optional calling it if YaST is not running would be an ugly solution, which will introduce ~800 new scriptlets and possibly also cross-platform depenendencies - KDE packages would need to call SuSEconfig.gtk2 as well, otherwise they could be displayed incorrectly in GNOME menus. Ideal solution would be implementation of per-transaction virtual symbol triggers in RPM in combination with automatic creating of has_icon trigger by %find_provides. Nothing similar is implemented yet. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
