Another thing to try: edit /etc/suspend.conf and put the following line in
there (simply at the end):
shutdown method = shutdown
and try if suspend to disk now leaves your fans functional.
Yeah, it works!!! With the old kernel. I have not tried the new one, but I will
when I get a break from work.
