https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=345021 Summary: german menu shortcut for "Fenster schließen" not underlined - and unfortune Product: openSUSE 10.3 Version: Final Platform: Other OS/Version: Other Status: NEW Severity: Normal Priority: P5 - None Component: Firefox AssignedTo: bnc-team-mozilla@forge.provo.novell.com ReportedBy: suse-beta@cboltz.de QAContact: qa@suse.de Found By: --- (using MozillaFirefox-2.0.0.10-0.1) (Follup-up of bug 215576) The menu shortcut Alt-D-F is commonly used for Datei - Öffnen (file - open) in german menus. (Except in Firefox, that's part of bug 215576. OK, I can accept that Firefox uses another shortcut because it has two variants of "open".) However, it's very unfortune that Alt-D-F is used for "Fenster schließen" (close window). I see two problems: a) the "F" in "Fenster schließen" is not underlined, so users don't see it is the menu shortcut b) the unexpected behaviour because Firefox is closed when a user presses the "usual" shortcut for file - open. I propose not to use F as shortcut in the Datei (file) menu.
