Thomas Renninger
The only way to start the laptop again was with Failsafe This is because acpi=off is passed and the acpi driver for the sony hid SNY6001 device is not loaded.
Another possibility is to put the Sony_laptop module on the Blacklist This should be your preferred workaround until it's fixed.
Hmm, it's a bit difficult to reproduce what exactly happened. I could try to find the exact kernel you used and try to find the command issued at: sony_pic_irq+0xfa/0x15a Do you remember a bit more about the error (should be at the beginning of the panic/oops), maybe a divison through zero, NULL pointer dereference, ... Maybe Mattia already knows about this one? If yes, I can point you to an already compiled 2.6.24-rcX kernel to try whether it's already fixed for you... -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
