I recently started seeing this, too. Took a screenshot when I logged in this
morning. The literal error message is:

Assistive technology support has been requested for this
session, but the accessibility registry was not found. Please
ensure that the AT-SPI package is installed. Your session
has been started without assistive technology support.

~/.xsession errors contains the following notable spewage:

(gnome-session:3544): atk-bridge-WARNING **: AT_SPI_REGISTRY was not started at
session startup.

(gnome-session:3544): atk-bridge-WARNING **: IOR not set.

(gnome-session:3544): atk-bridge-WARNING **: Could not locate registry

nautilus and gnome-panel generate the same errors.
