When Compiz is running, the mouse pointer settings, that I choose in
'Appearance' don't apply, except for some applications like OpenOffice or
Firefox.

This bug was reported here:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/compiz/+bug/141500

They posted a patch, but I don't think me and some other SuSe users will be
able to patch the sources and compile the whole Compiz-Fusion (I tried, but the
process  turned out to be quite complicated). Do you think it is reasonable to
expect any updates for SuSe 10.3 concerning this bug and patch?
