This is the default behavior, because the driver cannot know, that here is not
any other device which maybe valid for it (this is a negative aspect of the PCI
hotplug architecture).
The driver should not claim the PCI IDs for this device, but unfortunately it
seems that here are device with identically PCI IDs but different chip
revisions, some are supported with this driver some are not, the module loader
can only try to load a driver based on the PCI ids, not chip revisions.
Re comment 5:
This seems to be a problem with the ACPI BIOS, the driver try to enable the
device but the ACPI BIOs doesn't enable the IRQ.
