https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=339679#c3 --- Comment #3 from Robert Davies <rob.opensuse.linux@googlemail.com> 2007-11-15 08:40:00 MST --- Just like to add, most of the info is already generated, but it takes some experience to know how to find it and look. Really, the new bit is having Installer & Hardware Configurer, save TAGs somewhere about relevant issue, and then having a dynamically generated static web page on the local machine, to guide Admin/User to relevant info. There's FAQs and HOWTOs, and all the info provided, but nothing tying it together effectively, for the less experienced to find easily, and direct their attention into relevant areas. Even someone experienced, would have time saved post-install, as it cost me a lot of time, checking possibly relevant Bug Reports. The quality of my bug reports also dropped, none of my 3 systems were stable, due to various different kernel issues in 2.2.22.5 & 2.2.22.9-0.4.n This meant it was harder to be organised and keep the right logfiles, and localise the problem to the right subsystem. Some post-install report, about the degraded graphics installation, may cause that to be dealt with promptly, rather than worked-round and kept on back burner, at which point initial log files are over written. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
