well the rpm package starts with kiwi that's correct but that doesn't
mean all bugs are in kiwi itself. There is also kiwi-desc-ltsp which is
a package created by the community. It was made for kiwi so they name
it kiwi-... but the bugs are assigned to them not to me :)

The name kiwi-desc-livesystem was chosen to have one package which includes
descriptions for live systems. The name doesn't say it's global for any
live system. That can't work because everybody has different requirements
like you. I agree it's a bit weird the package contains only one live
description but that's because it's a young project and 10.3 was the first
version with kiwi on board.

If it is not a template and solely for oS10.3 you are right.
Anyway. I know my way around the issue. I don't want to discuss internal
political issues of Novell here...

yeah, you simply can copy the description and rename it and remove those
password tweaks. Each description in the livesystem package will be for
a specific purpose. I think the one you make may have similar problems
if you give it away to somebody as an example

I think that's the nature of any image description. The definitions there
may be sufficient to others but they don't have to. I agree it would be
worth to document that. Therefore the <specification> tag should be used
but must people don't take care for that a lot
