In principal you are right. The problem you have is with the package
kiwi-desc-livesystem. This package is at the moment _intentionally_
not part any SUSE distribution. I was fighting to have that in the
maintained area but the release manager Stephan Kulow <coolo@xxxxxxxxxx>
was against it.

Additionally the description named kwliveCD-suse-10.3 has been created
by Stephan Binner <stbinner@xxxxxxxxxx> , Christoph Thiel <cthiel@xxxxxxxxxx>
and Stephan Kulow <coolo@xxxxxxxxxx>. So if you think there is a bug
in the description you should contact them too

- I think you agree that the problem is part of the description and not
part of kiwi, right ?

- I also updated the kwliveCD-suse-10.3 to the latest source. As you can
see they _want_ that root has no password and with the pam call that also
works.

- If you don't want that simply change the description or even better rename
it because I think your intention is not to create a live CD for openSUSE
10.3 :-)

Thanks
