https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=335246#c23 --- Comment #23 from Mike Fabian <mfabian@novell.com> 2007-11-09 09:18:20 MST --- The behaviour of the lat2a-16 is a bit strange though, even on the shell in the console (without yast, mc, ...). Apparently this font doesn’t have a correct unicode map. It does have the “psfu” file extension which indicates a unicode map: mfabian@magellan:/tmp$ ls /usr/share/kbd/consolefonts/lat2*16* /usr/share/kbd/consolefonts/lat2-16.psfu.gz /usr/share/kbd/consolefonts/lat2a-16.psfu.gz mfabian@magellan:/tmp$ But apparently it doesn’t really have a unicode map or maybe an incorrect one. setfont lat2a-16 cat some-hungarian-test-text-in-utf-8-encoding displays rectangles instead of ő and ű. But setfont lat2a-16 -u lat2.uni cat some-hungarian-test-text-in-utf-8-encoding displays the text correctly. setfont lat2-16 cat some-hungarian-test-text-in-utf-8-encoding displays the text correctly as well. I.e., I think lat2-16 is OK and lat2a-16 is broken. -- Configure bugmail: https://bugzilla.novell.com/userprefs.cgi?tab=email ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug.
