Since I upgraded to 10.3, I experience strange mouse and keyboard freezes under
XOrg. I cannot reproduce, but from time to time (once a day or so), suddenly
the mouse stops moving and I also cannot do anything with the keyboard
(including CTRL-ALT-Fx or CTRL-ALT-BACKSPACE). The system itself works, the
clock is changing, if I have an IRC windows, I see the messages coming in. I
logged in through ssh from another machine, and checked the logs
(/var/log/messages, /var/log/XOrg.0.log, .xsession-errors, etc.) but nothing
appears there. I checked the CPU usage, nothing unusual. I restarted X from the
ssh session, but it still did not get back the control of my input devices. I
killed X and still couldn't do anything with the keyboard (like switching to
vt1). I ended up by rebooting the machine.
As the keyboard did not work even after killing X, I'm not sure if this is an
X (driver) problem or a kernel issue. I found a thread about this issue on a
forum (but without a solution):
http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=47801

Details of my system:

Hardware:
Dual Core Opteron 180
2 GB Dual Channel memory
NVidia FX-5500
Logitech PS2 mouse and keyboard

Software:
Kernel 2.6.22.9-0.4-default (x86_64 version)
XOrg 7.2 (with all updates from openSUSE)
nvidia 100.14.19 driver
