I cannot logout if ~/.gnome2 is a symbolic link.

To repeat this:

1. From your home directory, do:

mkdir Library
mv .gnome2 Library/Gnome && ln -s Library/Gnome .gnome2

2. Login.

3. From the slab menu, click Logout.  The Log Out/Switch User dialog will
appear.  Clicking Log Out will dismiss the dialog, but you will not logout.  To
logout you need to type Ctrl+Alt+Backspace.
