When plugging it into an arbitrary free usb-port it is recognized by KDE
right away (camera icon pops up), but it takes ages (about 20-30 seconds) until
it is
accessible via konqueror. When copying images from the camera to a
folder on the local hard disk the overall transfer rate is really slow
(the image is copied ok, but after each image the progress "hangs" for
several seconds).

All this is acompanied by the folling dmesg-messages:

I have an Fujitsu Amilo M 7400 notebook with opensuse 10.3 with all the
