This might be the result of the second attempt to install. In the first attempt
the partition table was build new - so there should have been no volume group.
Nevertheless, if it was there in the 2nd run, catching the 'error' could have
been  an option.

Sorry, not possible anymore. Grabbed the log after the error occured, and had
to move forward with the installation....
