While the menu has been replaced so the "Connect to server" applet isn't as
visible, it's still there. If you right-click on the panel and "add to
panel..." you can still access this module in openSUSE 10.3. The naming has
not been touched.

I agree, this is poor behavior. If you have many windows open and use the
connect dialog, it appears nothing happens (if you are not familiar with the
tool). It only creates an icon on the desktop behind all my windows.
