Summary: solver should offer "ignore particular explicit
requirement" as a possible problem solution
Product: openSUSE 10.3
Version: Final
Platform: Other
OS/Version: Other
Status: NEW
Severity: Normal
Priority: P5 - None
Component: libzypp
AssignedTo: dmacvicar@xxxxxxxxxx
ReportedBy: sbrabec@xxxxxxxxxx
QAContact: dmacvicar@xxxxxxxxxx
Found By: ---

How to reproduce:

1) Suppose the current OpenSUSE 10.3 situation (see bug 338623):
openssl-0.9.8e-45.5 is installed but only openssl-debuginfo-0.9.8e-45 is
available

2) YaST2 -i evolution-data-server-debuginfo gtk2-debuginfo glib2-debuginfo
pango-debuginfo atk-debuginfo openssl-debuginfo
(YaST2 frontend selected is gtk)

Current behavior:

It will cause conflict with only possible solution: remove openssl (nonsense)

One must quit, edit command line and try again (and 10 minutes of preprocessing
ate lost).

Proposed solution suggestion for this conflict:

o remove openssl
o do not try to install openssl-debuginfo
