this time I ran :
strace -t -ff -o /tmp/beagle baegled "--indexing-delay 2 --fg --debug"

/usr/lib64/beagle/IndexHelper.exe
logfile for beagled is too big to attach (143MB),
sending logs for gconfd-2 and beagled-helper only
