Considering the planning phase for 11 is far from being closed, I think it
should be a good idea to reconsider this enhancement request.

The application browser is not well appreciated by users, due to various
reasons already discussed like:

- it opens a second windows
- it's slow
- it's not intuitive
- it's not what the user expects

A menu redesign would be a great addition for the next release, especially in
the view of the new SLED release.
