The default install with radeon allows to configure and use the Laptop monitor,
but once an external monitor is connected with analog cable, (either directly
or through KVM switch) the screen on the external monitor stays black after
boot.

both internal and external resolution: 1280x1024

radeonold and radeonrandr12 both work well
