These ar ethe versions of some packages
powersave-0.15.17-10
pm-utils-0.99.3.20070618-18
suspend-0.69.9-15
dbus-1-1.0.2-59
hal-0.5.9_git20070831-13
2.6.22.5-31-default
I updated recently, but the fan still stops dead. Here are some files and
output that you might find interesting
/proc/acpi/thermal_zone/THRM/trip_points
critical (S5): 110 C
passive: 105 C: tc1=2 tc2=10 tsp=100 devices=CPU1
active[0]: 60 C: devices=FN00
Before suspending to disk, the fan would activate whenever the processor
temperature reaches 60ºC. After suspending to disk acpi -V revealed this
alex@linux-a8js:~/G2/optimized/src> acpi -V
Battery 1: discharging, 18%, 00:07:45 remaining
Thermal 1: ok, 64.0 degrees C
AC Adapter 1: off-line
And the fan FN00 was off
/proc/acpi/fan/FN00/state
status: off
When the fan is working I can see it in acpi -V
Thermal 1: active[0], 64.0 degrees C
and of course, I hear it. This was my last try, and I used powersave -U to
suspend to disk. Ask me again if you need more info
