Sorry, in SP1 it is relevant. Seems we've broken it only for 10.3 by the repo
management refactoring (we've forgotten to adapt zypper for this particular
issue). See also bug #336353. The reason why you get the error for commands
other than sl is that the --root is checked for being absolute only when
initializing the RPM database, and sl command doesn't do it. That may be
something worth checking in current libzypp as well. Thanx for pointing this
out!
