Does this mean that the fixed driver is available now? I downloaded all
mandatory patches today on 5.35 PM german time but I again got a black screen.
I started SaX2 from textmode and saved the configuration. Afterwards xorg.conf
contained the driver s3 in the device section. After a restart I saw again the
black screen as the X server started.

Then I started SaX2 -r -m 0=vesa again as originally suggested by Stefan. Now
my xorg.conf again contains the driver vesa and I can start the X server at
least. Note that I also have a problem with the refresh rate of my monitor as
reported in
https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=335850&GoAheadAndLogIn=1. According
to Steffen Winterfeldt this problem is mainly caused by the graphics card bios.
But I think that it is not excluded that the driver is involved here and that
all would work fine if the correct driver could be loaded. That's why the
correct driver should work.

I attach xorg.conf and Xorg.0.log.
