Thanks.  Ekkk, so it didn't really work.  That's an interesting piece of device
choking on 4k DMA READ.  :-(

I currently don't see any way to work around this other than completely
disabling DMA for the device.  Can you ship the drive to me?  I'll pay with
paypal or something for the drive and shipment.
